Effective Communication at workplace

What is communication?
Communication is an exchange of feeling, ideas and information. Whether by speaking, writing or behaviors.
On other hand, it is the art and technique of using words effectively to impart information or ideas. Also , to convey knowledge of or information .
When a person sends or receives information, ideas and feeling with other not only using spoken or written communication but also nonverbal communication.
What level of communication?
The concept that can is effective exchange of meaning or understanding applies to both formal and informal communication.
Communication is not one way?
It is important to remember that communication with people is not a matter of one sender and one receiver , but rather an exchange in you and they people and both sender and receiver .
So this means that for real communication to take place, there must be interaction, with each player participating.
 Communication Process

Receiver
Sender
Receive message
Start with a meaning  / message to send
Decode and convert to meaning
Enode ( verbal and nonverbal )
Respond
Send message
Interact with feedback

Why do we communicate ?
We communicate with ourselves and other people to fill current inner tensions or needs.
So there are many current needs we each try to fill:
To feel respected by self and other -
To give or get credible information -
-To avoid some uncomfortable, like silence

To create excitement (reduce numbness .

So communication is very important to improve you skill (speaking , conversation ) . In any communication at least some of the meaning lost in simple transmission of a message from the sender to the receiver .

The ethics of blog commenting

I think communications is a fundamental part of human nature. This does not change just because we sit in front of a computer or an internet in the hand trying to reach out and communicate. Conversation, sharing thoughts or experiences & getting feedback is important for the individual but is also essential for our development and improvement.  SO blogging is communication and while it is typically controlled by the blogger taking the initiative it doesn’t really work and add value to anyone if no one. The importance of blog commenting as a reflection of “internet ethics” .

What do you mean “Internet Ethics”?

Computer Technology Internet Ethics! TODAY computers have become more and more important in the lives of most everyone. In the workplace computers are everywhere. In education students are now required to use a word processor to produce reports and assignments for most of their classes. Many classes require students to do research on the Internet.
Moreover, Ethics are standards of right and wrong behavior. It is the basis of trust and cooperation in relationships with others.  Also, ethics is a system of moral principles. It is the rules or standards governing the conduct of a person or the members of a profession.

In addition, ethics are abstract rules that govern our relationship with each other.  They are indispensable in every area of life that requires human interaction. We constantly hear terms like "work ethics" and "social ethics".  Moreover, the concept of internet ethics is much broader than the "Do nots". It also covers the "Must Do" and "Nice to Do" patterns of behavior. I strongly believe that blog commenting is a must-do internet ethics rule.
Therefore, ethics in Internet and computer use are important to all who use the mediums. When a student goes on to higher education the information learned in this Web Quest is required of all students. Many if not all business that use computers and the Internet require their employees to know same type of information and to abide by Acceptable Use Policies for their companies. Knowing the rules and policies protect you the learner from problems that can arise from improper use of computers and the Internet .

Why would you use blogs in foreign-language education?

I think Blogs are easily accessible and easy to use. In addition, they are a new technology, and as such, the   format might appeal to students, who spend much time in front of their computers .

The most important argument for using blogs in teaching might be their format: the way they are set up, they invite participation. They also have the potential to democratize the classroom; as with other forms of computer-mediated communication, each student can participate equally. Moreover, blogs can be accessed anytime and anywhere, so students can write at their own convenience and determine their own pace and level of contribution. In this way, blogs give students not only more control over their own learning, but also the ownership of a personal space.
Other arguments that speak for the use of blogs in a foreign-language course are their ability to include images, sound, and video files, so students are exposed to, and can make use of. Last but not least, maintaining a blog on a regular basis can improve writing and promote students’ self-awareness about their writing. Students are forced to condense their thoughts and to write on a regular basis, all of which can help them become better writers in the foreign language.

Use Blogging in Learning

I in my opinion , I realize that blogs don’t have to be everything but the potential of blogs to lead students to become reflective, life-long learners who want to share and communicate with an audience to make meaning of the world is quite amazing.  So teachers by using blogs with students can promote student self-assessment by providing opportunities for students to think and talk about what they are learning. By encouraging them to evaluate their own progress. Teachers are empowering students to reflect on themselves as learners” (2006, Joseph).
Moreover, Blogs, like the one we have done for this course, allow for this type of reflection. Encourage interaction. Blogging should not be a solo activity. Encourage bloggers to read each other’s works and to comment on them. Encouraging students to set up an RSS reader with each other’s blogs will make reading and commenting a lot easier.

My opinion about blog

In my opinion, the blogging is an interesting place.  One can find blogs for all subjects and all walks of life. Others, around the world, can engage either actively or passively.  Although, even if the readers just are looking at the blog, they too are getting something out of it.  Participants of blogs whether reading, writing or commenting gain experience in our technological world .
Moreover, I find writing for a blog a bit scary knowing that the whole world can see the information, comment and assess your ideas and thoughts.  In addition, this is also can be positive.  You can get feedback about your thoughts and ideas.  Therefore, your writing might get better over time since you are writing more.  The idea of writing more and more is said to increase your skills.  Practice makes perfect. I only hope that mine will too. So blog writing comes in every shape and size from lists, to paragraphs to lengthy essays.

Learning blog

TODAY, I speak about learning blog . In my opinion , the selection of blogs is interesting. Of special interest is the blog Rational for education blogging. This addressed the reality of the rapidly changing information and communication technologies.  So the impact  of blogging on literacy education is already expanding and will continue to do so.  It is certainly based on other people’s reactions and opinions. In many ways the interactive aspects of this make it seem to make it more relative to the current learner. Moreover, blogging helps students see their work in different subjects as interconnected and helps them organize their own learning.

What a wonderful list of positives for blogging

In my opinion, I see proper use of grammar, use of keyboarding skills, collaboration between parties, individual responses, critical thinking, proper internet etiquette, individual responsibility, unlimited interaction, brainstorming, creative interaction, time for reflection and incubation of thoughts, chance to go back and add to an original idea or thought so the list goes on. Also , I think it is going to be a useful teaching tool.

Blogging Begins with Reading

Blog reading and writing are sitting down with a group of people and having a discussion about a given topic. Only it is written down. And the people aren’t all sitting down at the same place or at the same time. So it provides a way for people to converse who will never have the chance to meet face to face. It broadens the conversation because anyone who has an interest in the topic can contribute. Moreover, some blogs are written formally but many are less formal. You get the sense that people just want to share their thoughts and have others share in return. I think blogging facilitates learning by giving us the opportunity to connect with a wide group of people who have something to say about our topic of interest

Blogging / Reading

Blogging is a good way to get students engaged in reading. However, like writing I don’t believe that reading blogs should replace the idea of having students cuddle up with a good fit book during reading time or as required homework reading.

Blogging is educationally sound for teaching students

I love the idea of using educational blogging in my classroom. This would be an excellent way to communicate with the parents of my first graders about the exciting events that happen in our little world. In fact, the kids would be able to describe and voice their opinions in a community with teacher and parent support. I believe this will be a huge motivator for the reluctant reader/writer to work on skills so that they can get their ideas across. This could even be used as an informal research site to learn about community jobs and aspects of various cultures, especially with the families within the classroom. Posting homework would be easy along with the list of sight words and spelling words.

Why should we use blogs in the classroom?

There are numerous educational benefits of blogs. Blogs are:
§  Highly motivating to students, especially those who otherwise might not become participants in classrooms.
§   Excellent opportunities for students to read and write.
§  Effective forums for collaboration and discussion.
§   Powerful tools to enable scaffolding learning or mentoring to occur.

The use of blogs in education

Blog is a type of new technology; it can be use in classroom environment for diary entry. It also can be a useful tool to link communication between study groups within a class or other classes or even schools. If use effectively, blogs can create a learning environment that extend beyond the schoolyard.
Moreover , blogs provide a communication space that teachers can utilise with students whenever there is a curriculum need to develop writing, share ideas and reflect on work being undertaken in the classroom.
